If you are experiencing a mental health emergency or need immediate support, please do not wait for a response from our practice.
JF Counseling is not a crisis center and we are unable to provide immediate or emergency mental health services. If you are in crisis, having thoughts of harming yourself or others, or need urgent support, please use one of the crisis resources listed here.
Emails and calls to JF Counseling are not monitored continuously. Response times may take 1-2 business days and messages sent outside of our business hours may not be seen immediately.

Colorado Crisis Services is a good option if you are experiencing a mental health or substance use crisis and need immediate support, guidance, or help determining next steps, but are not in immediate physical danger. They can provide 24/7 crisis counseling, connections to local resources, and mobile crisis support throughout Colorado.

Summit County SMART Team- call 911
The Summit County SMART Team may be a helpful resource if you or someone else is experiencing a mental health crisis and would benefit from in-person assessment, de-escalation, and connection to ongoing support services. The team includes mental health professionals and specially trained police officer in regular clothing who work to stabilize situations and help determine appropriate next steps while minimizing unnecessary hospitalization or law enforcement involvement when possible.
To access SMART Team support, call 911 and request a SMART Team response, or contact Colorado Crisis Services at 1-844-493-8255 for guidance and coordination with local crisis resources.
If there is immediate danger, a medical emergency, serious injury, or overdose concern, call 911 immediately.

Paragon Mobile Crisis Team- Call 988 or 1-844-493-8255
Paragon Mobile Crisis Response may be a helpful resource if you or someone else is experiencing a mental health crisis and would benefit from immediate in-person support, assessment, and stabilization in the community. Their mobile crisis clinicians can respond to homes, schools, workplaces, or other locations to help de-escalate situations, assess safety concerns, and connect individuals with appropriate ongoing care and resources.
To access mobile crisis support, call Colorado Crisis Services at 1-844-493-8255 or call/text 988 and request a mobile crisis response in your area.

Domestic Violence Resources
If you are in immediate danger or need emergency assistance, call 911 immediately.
If you are experiencing domestic violence, sexual assault, stalking, or relationship abuse and need support, safety planning, shelter resources, legal advocacy, or crisis intervention, ARISE provides free and confidential services for survivors in Summit County.
Support may include a 24/7 crisis line, emergency shelter and hotel placement, legal and medical accompaniment, counseling referrals, financial assistance, and ongoing advocacy services. Services are available in English and Spanish.

Substance Use and Overdose Resources
If you or someone you know is struggling with substance use, addiction, overdose concerns, or recovery support, there are several local resources available in Summit County. Support may include crisis counseling, detox and treatment referrals, peer recovery support, overdose prevention education, naloxone (Narcan), harm reduction services, and connections to ongoing care.
For immediate support during a mental health or substance use crisis, call or text 988 or contact Colorado Crisis Services at 1-844-493-8255. If there is immediate danger, an overdose, loss of consciousness, difficulty breathing, or another medical emergency, call 911 immediately.
