Out-of-Network Benefits
Clients using out-of-network (OON) benefits will be billed at the full self-pay rate for all sessions. A superbill will be provided for you to submit to your insurance for potential reimbursement. Reimbursement is determined by your insurance plan, and while JF Counseling provides the necessary documentation, we do not manage or follow up on out-of-network claims.
What is a Superbill?
A superbill is a detailed receipt of your therapy services that you can submit to your insurance for possible reimbursement. This document will contain the necessary diagnostic and payment information required for an insurance plan to process an OON claim.
How do I submit a Superbill?
You can upload or send the superbill to your insurance provider through their online portal, app, or by mail, depending on your plan. For assistance with superbill submission, call the member services phone number on the back of your insurance card.
What reimbursement can I expect?
Reimbursement varies by plan, but many insurers cover a portion of out-of-network therapy after your deductible is met. We cannot guarantee how much, if any, of your costs will be reimbursed. We recommend calling your plan to verify OON benefits prior to superbill submission.
